Dorchester Man Charged with Driving a BMW Without License after Running Red Light in Roslindale

Boston Police arrested a Dorchester man for driving without a license after he allegedly ran a red light in Roslindale.

On Dec. 28 around 11:20 a.m., Carlos F. Colon, of 231 Talbot Ave. #1, Dorchester, was arrested and charged with operating without a license, and a red light violation.

While on patrol an officer saw a 2002 black BMW go through a red light at Washington Street and Cummins Highway, according to a Boston Police report. There was an elderly woman in the crosswalk on Washington Street, too. 

The officer stopped the driver at Basile and Washington streets and the driver said he did not have a license. The suspect initially gave a false name, but his real name was revealed during the booking process. The BMW was towed.
