A Roslindale woman's current boyfriend was able to remove her intoxicated ex-boyfriend after the latter somehow got into her Beech Street home.

On March 17 around 1:29 a.m., Boston Police spoke with the victim who said someone had been ringing her doorbell insistently. She lives on the third floor and went downstairs when she heard noise and allegedly found her ex-boyfriend, apparently intoxicated and smelling of alcohol, inside the home trying to go up the stairs, according to a Boston Police report. She asked him how he got inside, when her current boyfriend came onto the scene and a scuffle ensued that ended outside to the rear of the home. The ex-boygfriend, who the victim said she broke up with more than three years ago, allegedly pulled out a small pocketknife.

Security for the woman's apartment building was called before the Boston Police, too. A public safety officer told police he saw the suspect flee the scene up Beech Street, turn onto Kittredge Street, according to a police report.

Officers noted the kitchen window, which is adjacent to the rear door, was wide open, and it's normally open three inches. Police noted it was large enough for the suspect to crawl through, but did not see any damage.
