The phones are no longer ringing off the hook at the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management department. As of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the department had received: 85 total calls from Roslindale 49 being tree emergencies Some calls are still active throughout the city while crews continue moving some of the larger trees, said Christina Maryland of the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management. A "tree emergency" is when a tree has fallen and is obstructing a roadway, or fallen on powerlines, sometimes it is one in the same.
