New York Times Offers Data-Driven City-Focused Biking Wisdom

Boston is fast becoming a choice city for cyclists. That’s not only evident by watching the roads but also by watching what people have to say online about the various bike paths and not-so-visible cycling areas in and around the city.

The New York Times has published a comment-driven map generated by people who cycle in and around major U.S. cities.

By clicking the “Boston” tab, a reader would learn that there are impatient motorists on Firth Road and that bikers should "hold the lane and not be intimidated, or that the bike lane ends heading west on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury, or that the Muddy River path is a solid, off-street connector between Jamaica Plain and the Fenway area.
