O'Malley, Coppinger, Tamer Back John Connolly for Mayor
Elected officials from Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, and Roslindale, endorsed John Connolly for Boston mayor at a brief public event Thursday.

With the mayoral race’s plot thickening, John Connolly aligned himself with elected officials in his neighborhood at a sparsely-attended event Thursday.
Mayoral candidate John Connolly, an at-large member of the Boston City Council, spoke to members of the media, handlers and a dozen onlookers in front of West Roxbury Library Thursday afternoon in an attempt to show strength in West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain and Roslindale, also known as the Parkway communities of Boston, named for the VFW Parkway.
Flanked by District 6 City Councilor Matt O’Malley from Jamaica Plain, state Rep Ed Coppinger, D-West Roxbury, and West Roxbury resident and Boston School Committee member Mary Tamer, Connolly continued to push his campaign’s platform of Boston school reform. O'Malley's and Coppinger's districts both include small parts of Roslindale, as well as other areas.
