Photos: Dishing It at Taste of Roslindale
The Taste of Roslindale featured 21 restaurants offering everything from shrimp ceviche appetizers to coffee for after dinner - with plenty of entrees in between.
The Taste of Roslindale on Thursday night tickled the palates of attendees with plenty of mouth watering offerings.
For this year's Taste, the 21 Parkway restaurants were asked to incorporate local and seasonal ingredients into their dishes.

For first year participant Napper Tandy's owner John Jacob, it was his establishment's premiere night to introduce itself to its "target audience." Said Jacob, "We wanted to participate in the neighborhood."
Napper Tandy's friendly staff served up some delicious farmhouse vegetable soup (vegetarian and vegan), and shepherd's pie, which definitely had meat, assured Jacob.

Held at St. Nectarios Church on Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale Village Main Street volunteers and board members were many, such as newest board member Silvana Ragusa. The owner of Sebastian's Barber Shop said she was looking forward to eating to eating Delfino Restaurant, Sophia's Grotto, and the Cheese Cellar's selections.
Ragusa was with board member Rick Ward, and volunteers Rachel Koepke and Martha O'Connell at the Giving Tree - for $20 you would get a random gift certificate as a leaf from the Giving Tree.
But the star really was the food as Taste goer Debbie Kirrane's simple reason for coming illustrated, "Because I was hungry! Because I was dying to try Sophia's Grotto's artichoke hearts because I heard they were amazing. And they were better than I ever imagined."
