Police: Bullet Lands Near Sleeping Child in Archdale Road Shooting
The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department.

An unknown person opened fire on Archdale Road on Tuesday night.
Boston Police Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 80 Archdale Road at about 8:13 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2.
A witness told officers that they heard several gunshots near by. Officers found shell casings inside the hallway of 80 Archdale Road and in the parking lot. Officers found rounds in three motor vehicles. One car had a round go through the windshield. Another car had four bullets in it.

While on the scene, officers were flagged down by the occupants of the third vehicle, who stated that they had been shot at in front of the apartment building at 80 Archdale Road. Officers discovered a bullet hole in the driver’s side rear door.
No injuries were reported.

Officers were alerted that someone reported a bullet hole in the wall at 173 Brookway Road, which officers determined was 50 yards away from 80 Archdale Road. The round went through the wall and into the television. Officers recovered a round on the floor near the television two feet away from a baby carriage, where the caller’s foster child slept. The child was unharmed.
This investigation is on going and officers are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information is asked to call District e-5 detectives at 617 343 4566.
