Roslindale Man Scares Off Car Thief, But Car Damaged

Sometimes it's good to be awake during the middle of the night. A Roslindale man was able to scare off a suspect trying to break-in to the man's vehicle on Beech Street.

On Dec. 23 around 12:55 a.m., the vehicle's owner told Boston Police that he saw an unknown male trying to gain access to his vehicle. The man said the suspect fled when he went outside to see what was happening, according to a Boston Police report. The suspect then fled into another vehicle.

An officer observed small scratches to the paint of the door on the victim's motor vehicle.
