Members of the E-5/E-18 Drug Control Unit were surveilling the area of D'Cachet Barbershop at 4433 Washington St., "an area where officers have made arrests of individuals who come to that specific location to buy and sell various drugs" according to a Boston Police report.
Police observed the suspect, Ramon, leave the barbershop and hop into a waiting vehicle down the alley next to the barbersop. Police watched the vehicle leave the lot, make a couple turns and then get gas at a station, then head back to the barbershop. Due to the short and circular ride, police believed a drug deal had occurred in the car. The passenger got out of the car and the driver began to leave the area when police stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Denton Terrace and Washington Street. Police also stopped the passenger, identified themselves as Boston Police and issued Miranda Warnings to the suspect, according to a Boston Police report.

Police asked Ramon if he had any weapons on him and he said he had a small knife in his pocket. While retrieving the knife an officer felt a hard rock-like substance in the pocket and seized a plastic bag of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. The suspect was asked what it was, and he allegedly said, "It's some white. It's powder." The officer asked him what the suspect meant and he said it was cocaine he had found earlier in the day while in Quincy, according to a Boston Police report.
The other suspect, Carr, was found to not have a license to operate a motor vehicle. The car was not the suspect's vehicle, and the actual owner will be summonsed for allowing an unlicensed operator to use the motor vehicle.
