Two Boston Firefighters Sent to Hospital After Being Electrocuted in Roslindale
NStar and Boston Fire Department personnel are investigating what caused two Boston Firefighters to be shocked on the Canterbury Street bridge in Roslindale
Two Boston Firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after being electrocuted by a wire on the Canterbury Street bridge in Roslindale today.
"We heard a big explosion. It sounded like a a big car crash," said Frank Ingema, who works at an automotive shop at 625 Hyde Park Ave.

Police closed off Canterbury Street from Seymour Court to Hyde Park Avenue. NStar officials were also trying to determine what caused the two men to be electrocuted.
"Two (Boston Fire) Alarm Construction workers were working on the wire that isn't electrified," said BFD Spokesperson Steve MacDonald from the scene at Canterbury Street and Seymour Court.

The explosion happened around 11:30 a.m. while the firefighters were stringing an orange-colored wire (picture attached to this article) when they were shocked, said MacDonald.
A Boston EMS official said the two firefighters were taken to Faulkner Hospital with minor injuries.
On the scene there was no sign of fire or any smell of something that had burned or burnt out.
