Theme days are a good way for local community partners to get more involved in the farmers market, and a great way to send a message to a large local audience. Past theme days like Sustainability Day and Health and Wellness Day have built awareness about important issues in an interactive way by using the very popular market as a forum. Other previous theme days include Tomato Day and Bike Day. Planning a theme day involves recruiting specialty vendors, local businesses, organizations relating to the theme, as well as organizing possible programming and activities.
