Will Snow Be a Go in Roslindale with Storm Jonas?

The chance of snow is likely and rising for the weekend, with possible accumulations of 1-3 inches, weather reports say.

The unpredictable but potentially disastrous Storm Jonas might spread some snow over Roslindale this weekend, with rising chances of snow accumulations from 1-3 inches.

Saturday has a 70 percent chance of snow, mainly after 1 p.m., of less than one inch possible, and Saturday night has a 60 percent chance of snow, mainly before 11 p.m., with 1-3 possible inches, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday: Cloudy, with a high near 28, and blustery, with a northeast wind 13-20 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20, north wind 15-18 mph, and gusts as high as 28 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33 and north wind 5-13 mph.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 19 and west wind around 7 mph.

Blizzard warnings began Thursday in Martha’s Vineyard and Block Island, with forecast predictions up to 3 inches around Greater Boston and up to 7 inches in Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape, where wind gusts could reach 60 mph, Patch previously reported.
