$20K In Drugs, Loaded Glock, Ammunition Seized In Salem Drug Bust

Salem police said two men face drug trafficking and firearms charges following the Broadway bust.

SALEM, MA — Two Salem men are facing drug trafficking and weapons charges after police said a month-long investigation of drug sales on Broadway led to the seizure of 1,400 grams of fentanyl and 180 grams of cocaine worth approximately $20,000.

Police said a large-capacity Glock was also seized along with more than 100 rounds of ammunition.

The search warrant was executed on Thursday at a Broadway apartment.

Police said Andy Gonzalez, 25, was arrested after a struggle with detectives. Also charged was Jazmilet Tavarez, 30.

They were charged with trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, gun possession and possession of a large capacity ammunition holder.
