3 Charged In Salem Shooting, Glass Bottle Assault On Pope Street
Salem police said men from Lynn, Woburn and Saugus are facing gun and assault charges.

SALEM, MA — Three North Shore men are facing charges in connection to a May shooting in Salem that left one victim suffering from a gunshot wound and another from a glass bottle attack.
Salem police said the men — from Lynn, Saugus and Woburn — were charged following what they called "an extensive, multi-week investigation."
Police said they arrived at 12 Pope Street shortly before 8 p.m. on May 5 to find a "chaotic scene" with one victim suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and another cut with a glass bottle.

"Several individuals at the scene were uncooperative," police said.
A search using multiple trained police K9s ensued, with police saying that the gun used in the shooting was found in a nearby wooded area.

The investigation led to charges against Angel Percel, 22, of Lynn, Shamus Horton, 20, of Saugus, and Anthony Vazquez, 21, of Woburn.
Percel was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon — the glass bottle.
Horton and Vazquez were charged with assault and battery with a firearm and other gun charges.
