Beverly-Salem Styrofoam Recycling Day Set For After Holidays
While Styrofoam cannot be recycled curbside, Casella has densifiers that can process the material for recycling.
SALEM, MA — Residents of Beverly and Salem are encouraged to recycle their rigid Styrofoam packaging from the holidays during a dual-city collection day in January.
The collection will take place on Jan. 10 at Beverly High School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be a drop-off day available on Jan. 9 at the Beverly Public Library during open hours.
Only rigid white expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) will be accepted. No packaging peanuts or food service containers, such as meat trays, clamshells, or Styrofoam cups, can be accepted.
