Casey Affleck Sends Letter Supporting Sen. Joan Lovely's Baby Monkey Bill
The bill would prevent the separation of baby monkeys from their mothers for lab experiments in Massachusetts.
SALEM, MA — State Sen. Joan Lovely's bill aimed at protecting baby monkeys from separation from their mothers for the purpose of lab experiments is getting some big-name backing from actor Casey Affleck.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Affleck sent the letter urging lawmakers to support the bill ahead of a committee meeting on the bill this week.
Sen. Lovely's S.1167 bill would prohibit the removal of infant primates from their mothers for first year of their lives.
