City Of Salem: City Closures Due To Christmas And New Years Holidays
Salem City offices will close at 11:30 a.m. on December 23rd and December 30th and will be closed on December 24th and December 31st.

The Salem Public Library will close at noon on December 23rd and will be closed December 24th, December 25th, and December 26th.
The Salem Skipper shuttle will run on December 24th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., but will not operate on December 25th. It will run on December 31st from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and on January 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Trash and recycling will be collected curbside on the regular schedule both weeks.
Stop the Spread COVID-19 testing at Salem High School will be closed December 23rd, December 25th, December 30th, December 31st, and January 1st. The site will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. December 27th, December 28th, and December 29th.
Stop the Spread COVID-19 testing at St. Peter’s Church will be closed December 24th, December 25th, December 31st, and January 1st. The site will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on December 23rd and December 30th and from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on December 27th, December 28th, and December 29th.
Curative COVID-19 testing at Riley Plaza will be closed on December 24th, December 25th, December 31st, and January 1st. It will otherwise be open on the schedule available at www.salem.com/testing.
The City of Salem’s annual Christmas Tree Bonfire will take place on Thursday, January 6th at 6:00 p.m. at Dead Horse Beach at Salem Willows. In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place on Friday, January 7th. Bring your tree with you that evening, drop it off at the beach after January 2nd, or leave it out curbside for pick-up the week after Christmas. Citywide Christmas tree curbside collection will take place over three weeks from December 27th through January 14th. Please do not forget to remove all decorations and lights from your tree.
