Famed 'Not-So-Tiny-House' Coming To Salem For Public Viewing
The HGTV and TikTok sensation will be on display at the Peabody Essex Museum early next month.

SALEM, MA — The social media sensation "Not-So-Tiny House" — a custom-built, 300-square-foot steampunk caravan that resembles a fairy-tale cottage, pirate ship and Victorian adventure all in one — is coming to the Peabody Essex Museum for a public viewing.
The New England couple behind the creation, Chloe Barcelou and Brandon Batchelder, is bringing the house to Salem from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7 for an outdoor viewing in the Museum's Federal Garden area behind Plummer Hall and Daland House.
The couple will host a book talk on Dec. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. for Tales of a Not-So-Tiny House, an illustrated journey through their process to develop and build the house, and their unconventional approach to small-space living.

Nearly every inch of the house — which became a sensation on HGTV and TikTok — was built using recycled film sets, thrifted finds, and salvaged materials, resulting in a unique dwelling filled with secret compartments, fold-out furniture, whimsical built-ins and creative spatial solutions.
The public is invited to come to the downtown museum and check out the house for themselves during the four-day event.
