Former Salem City Councilor Announces Senate Run
William Legault said in an announcement that he's looking to "walk the walk."

SALEM, MA – Former Salem City Councilor William Legault confirmed Wednesday that he would run to represent the 2nd Essex District in the State Senate in 2018. The seat is currently held by Sen. Joan Lovely.
"I have been trying to talk many who believe that real change is needed into running for state office. Most demur because they don't want to be the 'one,'" wrote Legault on the Legaultatlarge For Salem Facebook page. "I then talk to them about actually 'walking the walk' instead of just talking."
Legault said he would file his paperwork this week.
