Landlord of Property Involved in Murder, Crimes Served Disorderly House Notice
Police say they have responded to two dozen calls for serious crimes on the property over the past year.

Salem, MA - The landlord of a property that has been the site of two dozen calls, including murder and drug offenses, over the past year has been served with a disorderly house notification by police.
After an investigation by the Salem Police Community Impact Unit Francis Ouellette, the property owner of 38 Park Street/35 Salem Street, has been served with a Keeper of a Disorderly House Notification. Under Salem City Ordinances a landlord can be fined for failing to respond to complaints impacting the quality of life stemming from their property, according to police.
The landlord can also be criminally charged under Massachusetts General Laws if he fails to comply. The Salem Police Community Impact Unit works closely with landlords to assist in rectifying issues, improving quality of life, and reducing calls for service to the police.

Since April of 2015 the Salem Police have responded to calls at 38 Park Street/35 Salem Street 24 times including a homicide, gun crimes, drug crimes, and other violent disturbances.
On March 31, police responded to a fatal shooting on the property outside 38 Park Street. It was later learned that the suspect in the shooting was staying on the third floor of 38 Park Street.
