For the 5th year, Skin Care is offering Halloween-themed lash application through the month of October.
Lanes, who recently did the makeup for a Gothic themed picnic spread in Art Throb Magazine, is also quite adept at transformative makeup.

“A lot of people just want the lashes so they can be a little festive without a full costume,” Lanes said.
This year Lanes said the popular look is "sexy witch" or "sexy vampire."

“We do a lot of makeup for people going to the Vampire’s Ball or various Halloween parties,” she said.
This year, Laura Lanes is carrying spiderweb lashes – between each lash, are delicate webs.
“I think the spiderwebs will be big this year,” she said.
In addition, the shop carries a variety of lashes with gemstones at the base, which Lanes says offers the perfect amount of glitter.
The lashes, which retail for around $12 a set, are re-usable if treated with care. Lash application is an additional $5.
“The crystal ones actually continue to be popular from now right through the holidays,” Lanes said noting some clients come in for lashes before parties.
For application, Lanes said it is easier to come in and have the lashes put on professionally although they do sell the lashes without application.
“It is easier to have someone put the lashes on other than yourself,” she said noting the staff at Laura Lanes uses stronger glue that otherwise found in the package of lashes. “It’s especially good for the spiderweb lashes as they are delicate.”
For those last minute costume parties, Lanes says all you need to do is stop in to Laura Lanes, get your lashes done and pick up one of their brightly colored wigs. She also suggests going to the where the staff there will fit you with custom vampire fangs.
“We are really happy to be here in October, it’s so festive and there is never any trouble. Everyone seems to be in a good mood,” Lanes said.
