Market Basket Board to Meet Monday Night
No specifics have been released as to what the board plans to discuss.

The Market Basket board has a meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday night, the same day they offered amnesty for employees willing to return to work today -- which they didn’t.
Market Basket employees continued their fight through the weekend into the start of the week vowing to stand their ground not return to work until ousted CEO Arthur T. is back at the helm.

On Friday, Market Basket board members met and announced they did indeed have an offer from Arthur T. and his shareholders to purchase the other 50.5 percent share of the company. But his wasn’t the only offer. Board members said they have offers from several others.
In a statement released Friday afternoon, the board of directors said it will evaluate and seriously consider Arthur T.’s proposal - not indicating the exact figure offered in the buyout proposal.

More than 10,000 turned out for the largest rally yet on Friday in support of the Market Basket employees.
It’s been more than a week since Market Basket workers took action in their fight to reinstate Arthur T., putting their own jobs on the line. In the meantime, customers of the popular chain have been shopping elsewhere and on Saturday customers held their own rallies at their favorite Market Basket locations.
