'Moon Over Salem' Citywide Music Festival Coming In September

The inaugural music festival is set to run from noon to midnight featuring 35 bands across seven venues in the Witch City.

SALEM, MA — Seven venues across Salem will help host the first Moon Over Salem music and arts festival planned for the city in September.

Organizers of the nonprofit — whose mission is to increase access to underground music in the greater Salem area with an emphasis on inclusion and the active rejection of "racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and hate in general" — announced the lineup on its Instagram account this week.

Vanyaland's Victoria Wasylak reported that venues include Koto Asian Fusion, the Gulu-Gulu Cafe, Bit Bar and Old Town Hall. She said the festival will also include a flea market, art show and vintage market with sets from area DJs.
