Pizza Fundraiser for Samaritan Charitable Society of Salem
Flying Saucer Pizza Company to donate 15% of Proceeds from 4-9 p.m. on June 6
The popular Flying Saucer Pizza Company, located at Lappin Park, 118 Washington Street, Salem, is generously donating 15 percent of all proceeds between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, to the Samaritan Charitable Society of Salem. The promotion applies to both take-out orders and dine-in sales. To add to the festive nature of the occasion and raise additional funds for the Samaritans, there will be a specialty pizza and cocktail offered that evening, along with a 50/50 raffle.
The Samaritans is one of Salem's oldest charities and provides one-time assistance to Salem residents facing a financial crisis, partnering with other local social service providers to help an increasing number of people struggling with a variety of issues, such as medical expenses, housing, or unexpected emergencies. Those in need are often working and single parents, or senior citizens living on social security.
Operating continuously since 1832, the Samaritans is an all-volunteer organization and has no religious affiliation or association with suicide prevention. Without an office or paid staff, all funds raised go directly to assisting Salem neighbors in need. You can learn more about the Samaritans at thesamaritansociety.org.
