Police Arrest Drunk Driver at Home after Hit and Run

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
Friday, July 26
4:12 p.m. a caller reported the larceny of a cell phone on Highland Avenue at a Burger King.
4:22 p.m. a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Walter Street.
4:50 p.m. a caller reported a drunk male sleeping in bushes on Intervale Road.
7 p.m. a sink hole was reported on Highland Avenue.
9:35 p.m. threats with a firearm were reported on Lafayette Street.
9:40 p.m. a hit and run motor vehicle accident was reported on Boston Street.
11:09 p.m. a loud bang was heard in the area of Highland Avenue and Clark Street. An officer could not locate the origin of the bang.
11:23 p.m. a motor vehicle hit and run was reported on Seawall Street. Police found the residence of the suspected operator and the car matching the description parked in front of the home. An officer gave the operator a field sobriety test in front of her and she failed all three tests. An officer arrested Christine, Baze, of 80 Warf Street. She was charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
Saturday, July 27
10:38 a.m. a caller reported that her motor vehicle was stolen on Nichols Street. The vehicle was later found on the Salem-Peabody line.
1:17 p.m. a stolen iPad was reported on Bridge Street.
3:06 p.m. stolen sneaker were reported on Naumkeag Street.
