Police Respond to Several House Parties
The following information was provided by the Salem Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police log:
Friday, Oct. 28
- At 5:42 p.m. police on patrol on North Street, witnessed a man "rolling a blunt." A small amount of marijuana was seized.Â
- At 9:39 p.m. police quieted a group of people watching television on Naples Road, after a noise complaint.
- At 10:20 p.m. police quieted a party on Hancock Street.
- At 10:39 p.m. police responded to Essex Street for a report of youths fighting. When police arrived, a woman said another woman in her 40's bumped into her, then punched her in the face.Â
- At 11 p.m. police responded to Dearborn Lane for a report of a group of youths that had entered a home. The youths were related to the owner.
- Four people were placed into protective custody Friday night.Â

- At 12:21 a.m. police cleared a loud house party on Lawrence Street. The host was given a city noise citation.
- At 12:51 a.m. police responded to a fight on Cabot Street. When police arrived, two men were fighting. One of the men told the other that "you don't put your hands on a lady." Junior Estrella was arrested (see below).
- Police responded to a loud house party on Canal Street at 1:39 a.m. Police found over 100 people in the house. The host was issued a city noise citation. One person was highly intoxicated and placed into protective custody.
- At 1:23 a.m. police responded to a house party on Ocean Avenue. Police cleared 25-30 people and issued a noise citation.
- At 1:31 a.m. police quieted a house party on Hancock Street. The host was issued a city noise citation for loud music.
- At 1:51 a.m. police returned to Ocean Avenue for a house party at the same address they had been at at 1:23 a.m. Five people were charged with disturbing the peace (see below).
- At 2:10 a.m. police cleared a loud party on Pope Street and issued a city noise citation.
- At 2:27 a.m. a loud house party was reported on Bridge Street.
- At 2:33 a.m. police responded to Leavitt Street for a person knocking on the window. The homeowner later told police the man knocking on the window would be allowed to stay the night.
- At 2:59 a.m. police responded to a domestic disturbance on Orchard Street. The man broke a window and threatened another person. The reporting party did not want police to investigate.
- At 3:49 a.m. police responded to the same house party they had responded to earlier on Bridge Street. The host was issued a city noise ordinance.Â
- A car was reported stolen from a resident's driveway on Gerrish Pl. at 3:59 a.m. The resident later called back and said he found the car.
- At 4:21 a.m. police responded to Orchard Street for a domestic disturbance. Craig Bartlett was arrested (see below).
- At 4:33 a.m. police arrested Jaymes Saunders (see below) after a car accident on Wilson Street. According to police, Saunders was speeding on a curvy section of the road when he hit the curb, hit a wall and flipped his vehicle. Saunders then fled the area, police said.Â
- At 7:06 a.m. police responded to Roslyn Street for a fight.Â
- At 1:07 p.m. the former owner of a restaurant on Lafayette Street complained about the people currently trying to buy her business. She told police while she signed over the liquor license, they have not closed on the business and she has not received any money. Police told her the city has told them both, it should go through court.
- 13 people were placed into protective custody overnight Friday into Saturday afternoon.
The following people were arrested:
- Craig G. Bartlett, 24, 6 Lookout Lane, Middleton, was arrested Friday and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250, breaking and entering in the night and assault with a dangerous weapon.
- Christopher O. Berry, 22, 94 Ocean Ave., was arrested Saturday and charged with disturbing the peace.
- Michelle Dezotell, 21, 278 Lafayette St., was arrested Saturday and charged with disturbing the peace.
- Junior Estrella, 43, 25 Tremont St., Peabody, was arrested Saturday and charged with assault and battery.
- Timothy P. Lukasevicz, 21, 94 Ocean Ave., was arrested Saturday and charged with disturbing the peace.
- Brian Prior, 22, 94 Ocean Ave., was arrested Saturday and charged with disturbing the peace.
- Jaymes Avery Saunders, 21, 81 Ocean Ave., was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger, speeding greater than reasonable and leaving the scene after property damage.
