Salem 'Home For The Holidays' Shelter Dog Adoption Event This Sunday
Great Dog Rescue New England is hosting the event at Creature Comforts in Salem on Sunday where pre-approved adopters can take home a pup.

SALEM, MA — Great Dog Rescue New England is offering pre-approved applicants the chance to take a new puppy or shelter dog home directly from its next adoption event in Salem this weekend.
The national dog rescue organization is hosting the event at Creature Comforts at 10 Broadway in Salem. While GDRNE's meet-and-greet events usually include applying for dogs after they are met at public events and then going through the approval process, this time the organization is offering the chance to get pre-approved to adopt and take a pup home that day if one is identified as being a good fit.
The event is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the first hour for pre-approved adopters only. Those who want to take a dog home that day should submit an application on the website here and an adoption coordinator will reach out to approve the application, conduct and interview, complete a reference and vet check, get landlord approval, if needed, and schedule a home visit.
