Salem Man's Nap Leads To Arrest In Ipswich
Richard Allen McMullen Jr., 25, of Salem, is facing drug and gun charges after an Ipswich police officer found him sleeping his car.

SALEM, MA — A Salem man was ordered held on $50,000 bail after being arraigned on gun and drug charges in Ipswich District Court Wednesday.
Richard Allen McMullen Jr., 25, of Salem, was charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition without licenses, as well as possession of methamphetamine, xanax and fentanyl with intent to distribute drugs.
Ipswich police arrested McMullen around 6 a.m. Wednesday. Officer Mark Cecilio stopped to ask in McMullen needed assistance after seeing him asleep behind the wheel of a car parked on the side of Route 133. In addition to the drugs, gun and ammunition, police found $383 in cash when they searched the car.
