One standout example is a customer named Walter, a beloved senior regular in his 90s, who once called just to share how happy he is with the Salem team and the exceptional service Taveras personally provides — his call was over 25 minutes long. Taveras has gone so far as to call Walter’s son after visits to ensure he got home safely.

Most recently, after Walter shared the news that he could no longer drive, he asked his son to bring him to McDonald's for breakfast. As soon as Taveras learned he was in the restaurant, she made a point to meet him for coffee — and introduced him to her new baby.
