Salem Man, Shooting Victim Identified
The 24-year-old victim in the shooting Monday night has been identified.

SALEM, MA – Authorities have identified the 24-year-old Salem man killed in a shooting on Monday night as Sina Zangiband. Zangiband was delivering food for Atha's Pizza when he was shot several times.
Lynn Police responded to Bowler Street around 5:50 p.m., after getting a call about shots fired. The victim, who hasn't been identified, was found to have been shot multiple times. He was a food delivery driver for Atha's Pizza in Lynn, according to a statement from the Essex District Attorney's Office.
Massachusetts State Police later stopped an Audi that matched the description of one involved in the Lynn shooting on Route 1 South in Peabody. During the stop, the driver – Brian Brito – was found to be in possession of an illegal firearm, and was driving with a revoked license. According to the district attorney's office, Brito is a person of interest in the shooting, but is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Brito was expected to be arraigned in Peabody District court on Tuesday morning on the firearm and license offenses, but no charges related to the murder. Brito, of Manchester, N.H., is now facing charges of armed robbery and sexual assault in North Andover.
According to North Andover Police, officers responded to a variety story around 10 p.m. Monday for a report of armed robbery and sexual assault. The store clerk was ordered at gunpoint to lock the doors, and was sexually assaulted in the back room. The robber emptied the cash drawer, and took lottery tickets before leaving the scene.
