Salem Preliminary Election 2025: City Council Field Narrows To 2 in 4 Wards
Voters went to the polls in Wards 1, 2, 5 and 6 on Tuesday.

SALEM, MA — A relatively light turnout of Salem voters went to the polls in four wards on Tuesday as the City Council field of candidates was narrowed to two for the November general election.
Candidates were on the ballot where there were more than two for City Council seats in Wards 1, 2, 5 and 6.
In Ward 1, Erin Turowski and incumbent Cynthia Jerzylo advanced in unofficial results.

In Ward 2, it was Andrew Smith and William Legault who will face off on Nov. 6.
In Ward 5, Lydia King and Zachary Calderon earned the top two spots in a four-candidate field.

In Ward 6, Katelyn Holappa and Robert Camire will meet in November to determine that ward's representative on the Council.
Results were unofficial as of Tuesday night.
