Salem Route 107 Lane Closures Begin Sunday Night

The overnight lane closures on Highland Avenue/Western Avenue are set to last for about two weeks.

SALEM, MA — Construction on Route 107 will close lanes overnight from Victory Road in Lynn to Colby Street in Salem starting on Sunday.

This work is part of a $4.1 million resurfacing and improvement project along a section of Route 107.

The state Department of Transportation said work will be conducted Sunday through Thursday nights starting at 8 p.m. and concluding at 5 a.m. the next morning through July 28.

A minimum of one travel lane in each direction will be maintained at all times. The temporary lane closures are necessary to allow the contractor to safely and effectively perform roadway paving.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
