Salem Route 107 Lane Closures Resume For Next 3 Weeks
The road work is part of the $4.1 million resurfacing and improvement project on Highland Avenue and Western Avenue.
SALEM, MA — Work on the $4.1 million resurfacing and improvement project along a section of Route 107 in Salem and Lynn will cause temporary lane closures starting Thursday night and lasting for the next three weeks.
The lane closures will run from Victory Road in Lynn to Colby Street in Salem.
The state Department of Transportation said the work will begin on Thursday at 8 p.m. and last until 5 a.m. the next morning. Work is scheduled for Sunday through Thursday nights through Sept. 8.

A minimum of one travel lane in each direction will be maintained at all times. The temporary lane closures are necessary to allow the contractor to safely and effectively install roadway pavement markings.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
