Salem Victim Found Injured, Gun Recovered After Reports of 'Shots Fired'

Salem police said they responded to reports of shots fired Friday night near Pope Street.

SALEM, MA — A man was found suffering from what were described as non-life-threatening injuries after police responded to reports of "shots fired" in the area of 12 Pope Street on Friday night.

Salem police said a gun was recovered and that they encountered the injured man during their investigation.

Police did not reveal the nature of the person's injuries or what crimes were being investigated.
