Salem's Artists' Row Spring Kickoff Party Set For This Weekend
There will be a preview party with live poetry readings on Friday night followed by a weekend of food, music, art and fun.

SALEM, MA — The spring season at Salem's Artists' Row will officially kick off this weekend with a preview party Friday night and a weekend of music, food, art, more poetry and fun at the downtown location.
Poet Shari Caplan will headline the preview party on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. with readings from her new book "Exhibitionist." Caplan is a poet, actor and event producer with a passion for enlivening her audiences's imaginative potential.
The market and activities will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday with local artists, art-making activities, live music, English folk dancing and food from the Lobster Shanty.

On Sunday, Artists' Row will have a day of workshops and salons from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Poet Diana Norma Szokolyai will host the World Poetry salon from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in a series that will continue every first Saturday through December.
