Salem's Draft Action Plan Available for Review

The plan outlines priority activities for anticipated federal housing funding; public hearing also scheduled.

Salem, MA - Salem Mayor Kimberley Driscoll announced the availability of the City of Salem’s Draft Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2017 (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017), which outlines priority activities for anticipated Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funding. This funding, provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), assists income-eligible households and low- to moderate-income neighborhoods through a variety of programs, services and improvements. Mayor Driscoll stated, "CDBG and HOME funds continue to be integral to Salem in providing affordable housing, maintaining suitable living environments and creating economic opportunities. Activities proposed include our essential core programs for families and businesses, as well as selected neighborhood improvements.”
