Santa Claus will arrive at the top of the Hawthorne Hotel on Friday night, and will get help from the Salem Fire Department getting down to the ground.
It is scheduled to happen at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 at the hotel at 18 Washington Square, on the corner of Hawthorne Boulevard and Essex Street.
The event, organized by Salem Main Streets and the City of Salem, is a “beloved annual tradition,” according to organizers.
