Self-Care & Giving Back: Local Businesses Unite
A unique collaboration dedicated to holistic wellness and community outreach.

Local businesses Soul-full Notes Sound Healing (Salem, MA) and MacRae’s Sustainable Goods (Marblehead, MA) are joining together to create "Soul-full Giving: Sound Healing for a Cause," a monthly opportunity to give back while practicing self-care. This series will feature monthly sound baths performed by Laura Degelmann, a certified sound healer and owner of Soul-full Notes Sound Healing. 50% of the proceeds will be donated to a designated charity each month.
After two years of conducting sound baths at MacRae’s Sustainable Goods, Laura’s recent diagnosis of thyroid cancer prompted deep reflection on her business’s potential for greater impact. “I know my business is meant to do more good in the world,” Laura explains. This realization sparked the idea for a monthly charity initiative, which she immediately knew she had to pursue. Jennifer Lewis, owner of MacRae’s, enthusiastically embraced the concept.
What is a sound bath? A sound bath is an immersive sound experience designed to promote healing and relaxation. Participants lie on yoga mats or sit in chairs while various instruments are played around them, creating a powerful field of vibrations. Laura begins each session with a guided meditation before leading participants into the immersive sound journey. The vibrations can help re-calibrate the body's natural frequencies, offering a range of potential benefits for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
