Snake Spotted In Bow Street Home

The following information was submitted by the Salem Police Department, where arrests or charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police log:

Wednesday, Sep. 21

  • At 5:27 p.m. slashed car tires were reported on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 5:28 p.m. police responded to New Liberty Street for a report of people on the roof, throwing things.
  • At 6:53 p.m. police responded to Andrew Street for a domestic dispute. Police later caught up with the suspect who was riding on a bicycle along Arbella Street.
  • At 9:12 p.m. a man walking on Fairfield Street told police a group of men jumped out of the bushes and told him they were going to "beat him up." They chased him down the street, the man said. The man said he knocked on someone's door and they called police. The man then ran home where he received a phone call threatening his life once they catch him. The party told the man he owes "nana" $600.
  • At 9:30 p.m. police witnessed youths shaking car door handles along Essex Street. The two were later spotted again on Derby Street. Around the area, cars were found with their doors wide open. Police arrested the two juveniles and charged them with breaking and entering a motor vehicle in the night for felony and attempting to commit a crime. One of the juveniles was also charged with possession of alcohol as a minor.
  • A motorist driving on Bridge Street at 11:43 p.m. struck a raised manhole cover and sustained damage to their front bumper, exhaust system, left rear tire and undercarriage.

  • Police responded to Broadway for a report of a man screaming in the street at midnight.
  • At 1:39 a.m. Police recieved a noise complaint about music at When police arrived, they did not hear any music. Police told employees they must be closed by 2 a.m.
  • At 1:44 a.m. police recieved a call about a dog in the roadway on Kernwood Street.
  • At 2:03 a.m. Police received a call about a blond woman walking around Dunkin Donuts on Highland Avenue. The woman told police she has trouble sleeping at night so looks for change.
  • At 5:54 a.m. tires were reportedly slashed on Lynde Street.
  • At 10:08 a.m. a resident of Bow Street reported a snake in their house. Police could not find the snake in the house. Police told the resident to call if they see the snake again.

The following arrests were made:

  • Brian O'Rourke, 38, 23 Andrew St., Salem, was arrested on a warrant.
  • Neil C. Buckley, 58, 44 High St., Marblehead, was arrested and charged with driving after license suspension and defective equipment.
  • Michael David McIver, 24, 31 Summit Ave., Salem, was arrested on a warrant.
