Student Robbed At Train Station
The following information was supplied by the Salem Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police log:
Wednesday, Sep. 28
- At 6:30 p.m. hypodermic needles were found on Lemon Street.
- At 7:11 p.m. a resident called police about a suspicious man on Oliver Street. The resident told police the man kept kneeling down as he walked up and down the street.
- At 9:18 p.m. a resident of Beckford Street told police someone had stolen two lawn urns from outside their home.
- At 10:27 p.m. police responded to Arbella Street for a past robbery. The resident said he was robbed of his Blackberry and iPod while at the train station earlier that night. The man tried to get away from the two suspects but they grabbed him. The man broke free from them and ran toward the train tunnel, he told police. The men ran after him and stole his backpack containing his Apple computer, school books and all his notes. The men ran up the stairs toward Bridge Street, he said.
- At 11:01 p.m. police responded to a Front Street business where someone was refusing to pay their tab.

- At 11:43 a.m. police observed a man with a warrant out for his arrest on Becket Street. As police approached the man, he took off running down Derby Street. As he was running, police witnessed the man take something out of his pocket and attempt to put it in his mouth. Police caught up with the man and found a bag of marijuana, blue pills and a film case. The pills were later identified as percocet.
- At 12:11 p.m. police moved a homeless man along who was sleeping in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The following people were arrested:
- Michael Joseph Foley, 19, J3 Al Pace Drive, North Attelboro, was arrested and charged with trespassing, and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
- James A. Miglionico Sr., 35, 116 Lafayette St., was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, malicious destruction of property over $250 (two counts).
- Jason M. Daley, 28, 34 Essex St., was arrested on three warrants and charged with illegal possession of class B drugs and resisting arrest.
- Gerald G. Gitschier, 43, 20 A Dinsmore St., Bingham, M.E., was arrested on three warrants.
- Luz C. Leon, 36, 46 Laighton St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
- Sean Michael Winslow, 21, 1132 Washington St., Norwood, was arrested on two warrants and also charged with identity fraud and giving a false name.
