U.S. Senator to Celebrate Halloween in Salem
Salem will play host to Massachusetts' junior Senator on Halloween.

U.S. Senator Ed Markey is coming to Salem for Halloween.
The Senator, who is up for releection on Tuesday and faces Republican Brian Herr on the ballot, said Friday morning he plans to join Salem Mayor Kimberley Driscoll and Democrat Seth Moulton, a Salem resident who is running for Congress, at the Halloween Market.
Markey plans to start his walk around downtown Salem at Salem City Hall at 12:30 p.m., and then he will “meet with merchants, voters and perhaps a ghost or goblin,” Markey said in an announcement about his appearance.

Markey, a Democrat from Malden, is the junior senator from Massachusetts. He was a longtime U.S. representative from the fifth district until he was elected to the U.S. Senate in a special election in 2013.
