Village Tavern Welcomes New Chef
Chef Joseph Peterson has previously worked for celebrity chef Ming Tsai.
SALEM, MA – The Village Tavern has a new chef to go with its new menu and website.
Chef Joseph Peterson grew up in New York just outside of Ithaca. He's been cooking professionally since he was 13. His biggest break came when he met Ming Tsai in Boston and began working for him. Ming Tsai had been an early influence on Chef Peterson via his television cooking show, East Meets West.
Chef Peterson loves building trust in his kitchen and cultivating new talent. He's really excited for his new role in Salem where he sees an opportunity to make a bigger impact than he would have been able to in Boston.
