Water Main Break Affects Salem Neighborhood, Service Expected Back by Noon
A water main break left households in one Salem neighborhood without water service on Saturday morning.

Homes in the area of Sable and Marlborough roads were without water on Saturday morning, according to several residents in the area and Mayor Kimberley Driscoll.
At about 9:30 a.m., Driscoll said in a tweet that water service should be restored by noon on Saturday. Initially at 9 a.m., she said DPW crews were working to repair the break and it could take a few hours.
Several residents in the area contacted Salem Patch as early as 5:30 a.m. on Saturday reporting they were without water. It is unknown exactly what time the break occurred.
