Yard Waste Week and Household Hazardous Waste Day
Hazardous Waste Day will be held this weekend at Salem High.

The following information was provided by the City of Salem:
Yardwaste will be picked up curbside Monday September 26 through Friday September 30. Â
Please place your leaves and grass clippings in brown paper yard waste bags or uncovered garbage cans curbside on the same day as your trash day.

Only the following items are accepted:
- Lawn clippings and Leaves
- Brush, Plants, and Branches not longer than four feet or wider than four inches and bundled.Â
- Yard Waste does not include tree stumps or logs.
The next curbside yard waste pick-up will be the week of October 24. However, residents with proper identification can always drop off their yard waste at the Transfer Station on Swampscott Road during their normal business hours.
Also, please note that Saturday October 1, Salem residents, with proof of residency can participate in Household Hazardous Waste Day which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at Salem High School.  Click here for a list of acceptable items. The fee is $20 per car.
