Brady, Berwick, Rose, Banna Fire Station Win at Seekonk's Election
The following is the results of the Seekonk General Election.
Former Seekonk selectman Michael Brady won the selectman seat in the Seekonk general election on Monday.
Brady, who was up against incumbent and selectman chair Francis Cavaco, won 833 votes to Cavaco’s 322. Paul Buckley lost to Brady with 452 votes.
Seekonk voters also voted to a temporary tax increase to help with the rebuilding of the Banna Fire Station by 15 votes, 779 for and 764 against to approve the propostiiton.

The station itself, named for former firefighter Richard Banna, was approved last week at town meeting to give $687,000 to complete the funding of the project. The station provides enhanced rescue coverage to the north end of the town.
Evan Berwick and Kyle Rose won in the school committee race. Incumbent Christine Allen won against Lawrence Havryilk, 795 votes to 658. Richard Perry, Michael Durkay, and Ann Caldwell ran unopposed for three seats on the Seekonk library board of trustees.

Robert Caruolo was unopposed this year for the Seekonk Board of Assessors, and there are still two vacant seats for the Seekonk Housing Authority as well as one vacant seat on the planning board.
