Delays Expected Overnight Due to Emergency Roadwork on Interstate 195

Emergency roadwork on Interstate 195 Eastbound at Route 6 in Swansea will require lane restrictions overnight tonight and tomorrow.

Motorists will encounter double lane closures from the hours of 7 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday. Tonight, the middle and high speed travel lanes will be closed. Tomorrow night, the right travel and breakdown lanes will be closed. There will be one lane of traffic open at all times. 

MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes, if possible, to avoid delays.  Drivers that must travel through the affected area should expect delays and should reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
