Detour Expected on Local Roads Next Week

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation issued an advisory to Attleboro motorists Friday:

Next week motorists traveling along Interstate 295 Northbound in Attleboro will follow a detour at night on August 8 and August 9 in to order to access Interstate 95 Northbound (Exit 2A). The closure of Exit 2A is required to allow for guardrail installation   Traffic destined for I-95 Northbound will be detoured onto I-95 Southbound to Exit 3A, where traffic will exit onto Route 123 Eastbound and then take the ramp for I-95 Northbound. Significant delays are not anticipated. The ramp closure and detour route will be marked and details officers utilized, as needed, to accommodate traffic flow.   This work is weather dependent and will be postponed in the event of inclement weather.
