FBI Report: How Much Violent Crime Happened in Seekonk?

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which includes information about Seekonk.

According to the report, Seekonk saw 20 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

There were 2 reported rapes, four robberies, and 14 aggravated assaults.

Other crime stats for Seekonk include 307 larcenies, 47 burglaries, and nineteen motor vehicle thefts.

Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
