Seekonk's 2012 Annual Town Report outlines in detail the activity of the Seekonk Police Department last year.

According to the report, Seekonk Police responded to 14,117 calls for service during FY2012 and 508 criminal complaints or arrests.

The majority of the incidents (3,118) fell into the "motor vehicle citations" category. Another large chunk of the incidents included business or residential alarms.

There were 222 incidents of larceny and 134 incidents of shoplifting in FY2012. The remainder of offenses were in double digits.

According to the report, there were more overall calls for service in FY2012 than FY2011 (13,643), and more in FY2011 than FY2010 (12,654).

Time will tell if the trend continues to rise when the FY2013 Annual Town Report is released as the fiscal year year concludes this month.
