Man Found Shot To Death Inside New Bedford Car: DA
Homicide detectives say the investigation is "extremely active" after a 36-year-old man was found shot to death inside a car on Weld Street.
NEW BEDFORD, MA — A man was found shot to death inside a car in New Bedford early Friday morning.
Police responded to reports of shots fired near Weld Street around 1 a.m., the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said.
Once officers got to the scene, they say they found a 36-year-old man inside a gray Chrysler Sebring who had been shot. The man was the only one inside the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's identity is being held by the police pending notification of next of kin.
